Hitler Dies- Joshua Moran

After Hitler died, Germany surrendered and the Nazi party was removed from power. The nation of Germany was split into two (East and West) with East Germany under soviet control until the fall of the Berlin Wall and West Germany under the control of the non-communist allies. Key Nazi party members were tried for War Crimes with most of the German military treated as normal soldiers per the normal terms of war. German soldiers were left to sort out the relationship with the Nazi party and the loss of the war. The split of Berlin and later Europe then lead to the Cold War.
