Eisenhower's Farewell Address - Steven Wong
Eisenhower's Farewell Address was President Dwight D. Eisenhower's last speech to the public while in office. It was broadcasted on television on January 17, 1961, and was famous for advocating that the United States was protected against the potential corrupting influence of the monetary relationships between legislators and the armed forces (military–industrial complex). His speech also discussed concerns about future and massive spending and how it can harm the nation. The speech had over twenty-one drafts before it was completed.
