JARED TANNER- Apollo 11

 Apollo 11 was a spaceflight that landed the first humans on the Moon. The Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. Neil Armstrong became the first Human to step onto lunar surface on July 21. Together the astronauts collected lunar material to return to Earth. A day later the three men piloted the spacecraft home back to Earth. This was extremely significant because we beat the Russians in the Rae to land a man on the moon and safely return him to Earth, proving to the world we were undeniably number 1.
