The 38th Parallel - Jonah Perez

The 38th Parallel is a circle of latitude that is thirty-eight degrees north of the Earths equatorial plane. It was also made the dividing line of north and south Korea. It was first suggested as the dividing line for Korea in 1896. But it was not established as the dividing line until August 10th, 1948. Which was only four days before Korea's Liberation. But still today it divides North Korea from South Korea which have two very different governments. North Korea is a Juche Korean-style socialist republic, and South Korea is a presidential republic.
