Douglas Macarthur was born in a military camp in Little Rock, Arkansas. As the years progressed Macarthur would end up earning a liutenant general position  as World War 2 began. Macarthur would lead his soldiers throughout the Phillipeans in an attempt to stop the Imperialistic Japanese forces to spread. Genaral Macarthur would be best know for his strategic military aproaches, including the island hopping plan which would make the Japenese forces retreat from island to island until thjey would eventually be back in Japan. Macarthur will always be remembered as one of the most loved and greatest generals in U.S. history. He would also recieve the Medal of Honor which is the highest possible honor for a United States soldier to recieve.
